MSK Cohort Builder

The platform is built on AWS and is used to find patients for research studies using natural language processing, schedule reports, and automate tasks performed by data analysts. I helped develop the backend architecture that can process the natural language search terms into SQL queries to grab data from MSK's Institutional Database

Thankfully Yours

Based in DC, the company sells gift baskets, flowers and various types of handcrafted promotional items. They had a basic website that described their products. The owners wanted a full-fledged online store.
I had some previous experience developing ecommerce site under the Magento platform. But this is where my knowledge was put to the test. I was able to push Magento to its absolute limit. I also got a chance to brush up my Photoshop skills trying to make those products look beautiful!

AMANDA Web App

Selling Technologies created this web app where the subscribers are able to push video contents to their list of contacts. Mainly used by Insurance Agency and Dealerships where the company can send out instructional videos to their Sales Advisors.

The application was very buggy and didn’t work quite well. So they came to Blue Saki to get it fixed.
I was in charge of the Quality Assurance. This was one of the very first projects I worked on for Blue Saki. Learned quite a lot about SDLC and Application testing procedures. The experience was also quite unique because the original developer was based in Philly, we were in Richmond and two developers were in India. So coordinating everything was a challenge sometimes but in the end all worked out quite well.

Role: QA Analyst

Skills used: Excel, HTML, CSS, Basecamp

Blue Saki Analytics

Blue Saki Online is opening a new division called Blue Saki Analytics. They are creating a new website to showcases their services. The site uses quite a lot of HTML5 elements and the developers are using the Twitter Bootstrap.
I have never used Bootstrap before so this would be a good learning opportunity. The site is mostly complete but it still needs some tweaks here and there.

CiM MD App

The Physician Performance Analyzer or better known as CiM MD is a Web-based Application that shows how the doctors in member hospitals are performing relative to their peers. New Health Analytics developed the original application and it ran on MS Access. The owners wanted to simplify the User Interface and make it web accessible.
This was a big project for the company. It was the first time I’d ever had so much responsibility. I was in charge for the Data Integrity testing.
I never worked with so much data before but I got the hang of it, I had to. It was tough but in the end I learned so much from it.

Role: Data Integrity Tester / Business Analyst
